Glenda Mazur

I am Glenda Mazur,  a Registered Marriage Celebrant living in Kialla in the beautiful Goulburn Valley.

Marriage ceremonies, commitment ceremonies, baby namings, vow renewals, funerals and any other ceremony that you desire can be conducted by me.  Together we can create the ceremony designed just for you.  You bring your ideas, hopes and personality to me and I bring guidance with the  legalities, to develop the ceremony of your dreams. Extra touches can be included in your special ceremony, such as other rituals, special poems and your own unique love.  This can all take place in a setting of your choice. While I  look  forward to meeting you and getting to know you.

Here is some of my story. I have been married to my husband Brian for over 40 years. We have 4 beautiful daughters, 2 of whom are married, and we have six gorgeous grand children. I have long harboured the idea of becoming a celebrant since my father’s death in 2001 when we had a wonderful celebrant who worked with our family and helped us to create the perfect send off for dad. I really admired and respected her and thought “I would love to do the same for other people.”  It was after the weddings of two of my daughters that I once again felt a calling to become a celebrant, to help other people celebrate their special occasions, whether if be through the sadness of a funeral or the joy of a wedding  or welcoming a baby into the family.  So I did my training and here I am.

I belong to  View Club (which raises money for the Smith Family), sing with Sing Australia Shepparton, enjoy being a member of a Book Club and volunteer with a homework club run by the Smith Family.  I am now learning French and have joined a writers group.. I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughters and grandchildren, reading, gardening, travelling and being involved in my community.

  I have been doing a lot more writing lately and have written poems especially for some of my brides and grooms.
